Barbara’s Hummus

1 (15 oz.) can garbanzo beans/chick peas, drained

2 T. sesame seeds (NOT toasted)

3 T. plain lowfat/nonfat yogurt

1 T. water

1 T. lemon juice (juice of ½ lemon)

1 T. olive or peanut oil

1 T. lite soy sauce

½ t. chili powder

¼ t. salt

3 large garlic cloves, minced

In food processor, process sesame seeds and garbanzo beans until smooth. Add remaining ingredients. Process until smooth. Serve as a dip with fresh vegetables and pita bread.
